Bemis Farms Day Care and Preschool
"Where Kids Meet Nature" Welcome to Bemis Farms Day Care and Preschool! We offer outstanding and flexible programs for children from six weeks old to school age in a secure and delightful educational environment. This is where kids meet nature! We have been recognized and designated as a National Backyard Habitat and a Schoolyard Habitat. This means that the staff and children provide an environment that protects and shelters various types of wildlife. Bemis Farms offers children unique opportunities to interact with nature the children have opportunities to plant, nurture, water, and watch a variety of plant life as it grows. Bemis Farms is a real farm consisting of 18 acres of tilled ground, prairie, gardens, and trees. The local farmer plants a rotating crop of corn, soybeans, and wheat, and we watch it grow during the changing seasons to harvest time. The corn attracts the deer in the fall. The woods offer delightful adventures along nature trails as the children learn the names of wildflowers and how to identify the various trees. The nearby swamp is home to many frogs and toads that we often hear and see. We feed the birds and provide shelter with nesting boxes. Eastern Bluebirds are particularly happy at their Bemis Farms home. Staff members are the best! The staff members at Bemis Farms are dedicated and committed to the loving care of young children. With our low staff/child ratio, we can give personalized attention to each child.
